Summary

On the other side of the Parisian “périphérique” (a belt highway marking the end of Paris and the beginning of the suburbs) is a faceless ghetto – hundreds of dilapidated buildings. In this neighborhood, the French born families have slowly deserted and a strong multiracial society has taken over. The French family Bouamazza lives in tower 216. Their country of origin is Algeria. Aïcha, a 25 year old, is the eldest daughter and a role model for the entire neighborhood. But Aïcha wants to break free from her community and make it on the other side of the “périphérique”…
