In the northern suburbs of Paris stands a ghetto housing estate, with countless façades of dilapidated tower blocks. A multiracial community has taken root there, while most native French families have left. In Tower 216 live the “Bouamazza” family, French of Algerian origin. Aïcha, 25, their eldest daughter, is held up as an example throughout the estate. But Aïcha can no longer bear the weight of her community, wants to spread her wings, and claim her independence on the other side of the ring road…
